8 Major Theories For Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3
2. Nebula Will Play A Much Bigger Role
Since entering the MCU as a secondary villain to Ronan the Accuser in Guardians of the Galaxy, Nebula has come a long way. She reconciled with her sister, joined the Guardians themselves, and even joined the Avengers as an integral part of the plan to take down Thanos.
The Mad Titan's daughter almost used the gauntlet herself in Endgame as she did in the comics, before the Russos decided to go in a different direction. All this to say, Nebula is now a much bigger player in the MCU than she was in either Volume 1 or Volume 2.
Since half the universe was snapped away, the Blue Meanie spent five years working with what was left of the Avengers, and forging a real relationship with Rocket that was never there before. A true hero in her own right, Nebula now has the chance to show the rest of the Guardians this growth.
Her importance may be higher than any other in Volume 3, particularly if the team are searching the stars for Gamora. Since her sister has only had one encounter with Quill, that didn't go well, and has absolutely no relationship with any of the other Guardians, Nebula may well be the key to bringing her home.
