8 Marvel Actors Who Were Cast In The Wrong Parts
1. Frank Grillo
Grillo is a great character actor whos been plugging away in supporting roles for years, but has finally started making a name for himself. He became an instant cult favourite thanks to his role in The Purge: Anarchy, and he's currently playing Brock Rumlow (aka Crossbones) in the Captain America movies.
Crossbones is a good part for him, because if theres any man whos a credible threat to the all mighty Cap it would be Grillo, but he deserves even more of a push. Theres one character in the MCU he was practically sculpted to play, however, and it's definitely not Crossbones.
Who He Should Have Played Instead: The Punisher.
Come on, take a look at Grillo; jet black hair, muscly physique and a face thats clearly lived life. He's Frank Castle through and through, and while Jon Bernthal is a similarly excellent choice, The Punisher could have been a defining role for Grillo.
Sadly the closest well come to a Grillo version of Punisher is The Purge: Anarchy, where hes practically playing the character anyway.
