8 Marvel Villains Who Could Be More Popular Than Tom Hiddleston's Loki
8. Kang The Conqueror
Kang the Conqueror is one of the most underrated characters in Marvel comic books - indeed, very few people who aren't fans of the comic books have even heard of him and that's a crying shame. Kang would bring the possibility of time-travel and alternate timelines with him, which would add entirely unexplored dimensions to the movie world and which could be extremely interesting. Complicated, maybe even messy, but definitely interesting. First appearing in 1964, Kang has troubled the likes of the Avengers on the pages of Marvel comics in a way that few other villains have managed - his intellect combined with his large array of powers (stemming from his armoured suit) make him a multi-layered threat. He's from an alternate timeline to the main "616 universe, where he is related to both Reed Richards and Victor Von Doom two characters whom he rivals on an intellectual level, which is something only a handful of beings in fiction can lay claim to doing. He could potentially be used in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the Fox universe in which the X-Men and new Fantastic Four (if the latter movie happens) both reside. Boasting an armoured suit to rival or even surpass that of Iron Man (a suit that allows him to time-travel, fire energy blasts, erect forcefields and block telepathy amongst other things), Kang would be an exciting and welcome addition to the big screen and could take whichever universe he joins in an infinite number of captivating directions. His arrogance and versatility could make him an extremely popular character.
