7. Mister Sinister

Mister Sinister is a truly superb character. A powerful villain, he has been a staple figure in the creation and manipulation of several key characters in the X-Men comic books and an appearance from him in the live action adaptations would be most welcome. He possesses superhuman strength and durability, telepathy and telekinesis, a regenerative healing factor and the ability to manipulate matter at a molecular level, as well as being a formidable hand-to-hand combatant. He has an arrogance about him that makes him almost likeable and his status as a genetically altered human (a mutate), rather than being a mutant from birth, makes him somewhat unique amongst X-Men characters. With Apocalypse confirmed as being a future on-screen X-Men villain in the next movie after Days of Future Past, it would be no surprise to see Mister Sinister €“ an associate of his €“ appearing in his wake in later movies (or maybe even in a post-credits scene prior to his full introduction in a later movie). Benedict Cumberbatch would be absolutely perfect for this role and wouldn't that be a perfect recipe for a hugely popular portrayal?
