8 MCU Movies Better Than Avengers: Endgame

Even though Endgame has funny moments, it never quite manages to achieve the improvised feel of the humor that it is striving for. Something Thor: Rangnarok, thanks to director Taika Waititi, accomplishes with ease.

Ragnarok is the funniest film to come out of Marvel studios. In fact, it is so consistently funny that at some point it crosses the line from superhero movie to full-on comedy; and that's not a negative, as it all works so brilliantly.

Everything from the improv banter between Thor and Bruce Banner, to the visual gag of Thor and Loki doing 'Get Help' is belly-laugh-out-loud funny, without ever detracting from the drama. It laughs at it's own ridiculousness whilst never becoming a parody; no easy feat, and one that in another director's hands may have fallen flat.

It is also a visual treat, with the likes of 'Knowhere' and other quirky locations being gloriously full of character in ways that the at times visually bland settings of Endgame cant quite match.
