8 Michael Keaton Movies That Remind You He IS Batman

8. My Life

This wonderful, poignant, and very human drama came out the year after Batman Returns, and you can see right away that Michael Keaton has significantly shifted from Bruce Wayne, but his wife is played by none other than the great Nicole Kidman, Batman Forever€™s Dr. Chase Meridian. For me, even though most of this movie is focused on the profound obstacles at hand, there are moments here and there during some viewings where I consider the pairing of Keaton and Kidman and try to get a feel for a third Keaton Batman movie, to experience what could have been, to determine whether the actors€™ energy would have felt similar as it does in this movie had they both been in it together. My Life can€™t help but lend itself to that. Nevertheless, I have no doubt that in this movie, Michael Keaton and Nicole Kidman got to convey a much stronger presence with one another than we could have ever seen in a 1990s Batman movie, even with Tim Burton behind the lens. They got to show their stuff in the end after all. It€™s a cool feeling. Oh, and Richard Schiff is not technically part of the formula here, but yeah€”he€™s there too, like an Easter egg for what€™s to come.
