5. Reprise of the Fire Costumes
One of the tackiest moments in the first Hunger Games movie occurred when Katniss and Peeta were wheeled out in front of the rest of the world wearing their flaming suits, designed to look as though the pair were actually on fire (or something). Though the idea is pretty cool, it looked a little naff in the final version of the movie, mainly because the CGI failed to live up to what you probably imagined this looking like in your head. It's nice to see that this time, then, the flaming costumes don't look quite so sketchy. There's a brief shot in the trailer of our heroes being wheeled out in a similar fashion to that of the first time this happened, but the look is more cool and refined, and much, much harder to make fun of as a result. Which also spells good news for the rest of the movie, when you consider that more time and effort has probably been spent on the special effects, which - most will agree - was one of the aspects that felt lacking in the original installment.
