8 MMA Fighters You Didn't Know Appeared In Big-Budget Movies

How does one even begin to replace the innate cool factor that Mr. T once used to play B.A. Baracus in the 1980s hit TV series, The A-Team? Bring in 'Rampage' Jackson for the 2010 film reboot.

The premise of the movie was on par with its source material, which saw four members of a special forces team setting out to clear their names for a crime they did not commit. During the original run of the show, however, Mr. T solidified himself as a household name, as B.A. Baracus was known for his incendiary behaviour and quips. This allowed the character to become a cult icon globally, due in part to Mr. T's epic portrayal and extremely memorable one-liners.

Instead of just coming across as mere emulation, Quinton Jackson was able to naturally step into the shoes left behind by Mr. T, while giving his own spin on the character. His razor sharp wit and humour easily blended in with the demeanour that most have come to know Baracus for. This is only compounded by the fact that the extreme fight sequences in the film warranted someone who could replicate the hard-hitting brutality of film's plot. It only seems a bit star-crossed then, that Jackson's moniker of 'Rampage' coincided with the ferocity of Baracus.

Jackson's personality shown in The Ultimate Fighter and in media interactions all but guaranteed that the multiple weight class contender would inevitably find success in mainstream entertainment. At least audiences have a great origin point for his career outside the Octagon, should he continue to accumulate roles in the future.
