8 Moments We Need To See In MCU Phase 4

4. Allude To Other Intergalactic Threats

From the grounded Earth-bound roots established by that first Iron Man, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now at a point where it's headed to the stars, explored other planets, highlighted other dimensions, and even dabbled with time-travel.

Now that we know that there’s far more going on in this shared cinematic universe that simply present-day Earth, Phase 4 would do well to push the narrative of other intergalactic threats being out there.

Much like several other points mentioned elsewhere in this article, we don’t need to see Phase 4 serve up a who’s who of space-set Marvel bad guys. How Marvel Studios handled Thanos is an ideal blueprint, with his presence hinted at and then slowly drip-fed into this ever-expanding world of characters and films.

One obvious intergalactic bad guy who instantly jumps out is Galactus, and maybe he could well be the next in line to be the biggest of the ‘big bads’ seen in the MCU over the next few years. Regardless of who or what it is, Phase 4 needs to have at least one moment where it acknowledges that there are other serious dangers lurking up in the stars - with next year's The Eternals one way to make mention of such threats.
