8 More Actors Who Look Exactly Like The Characters They Played
These actors didn't just act the part... they very much looked it!
Trying to find a performer who not only possesses the acting chops to believably portray a real-life figure, but also looks somewhat similar to the genuine person in question isn't what you'd call the easiest job in the world.
However, when it comes to the following famous and historical faces that were eventually given the big and small-screen treatment, it's safe to say that the brilliant casting directors involved all absolutely smashed it out of the park.
Because this collection of gifted actors didn't just share certain similar features and bear a bit of a resemblance to the characters they ended up bringing to life in everything from music-stuffed dramas to intense war flicks, they looked almost identical when all was said and done.
So, from some of the greatest frontmen of all time, to a real WWII Colonel, to members of the royal family, these are those actors who nailed the mannerisms, physicality, and even the way certain music icons warbled into a microphone, and did all that while looking precisely like the real-life humans they were pretending to be in front of a camera.
8. Rami Malek - Freddie Mercury (Bohemian Rhapsody)
Coming away with the Academy Award for Best Actor for his gripping work as the Queen frontman in Bohemian Rhapsody, there's absolutely no denying just how masterfully Rami Malek stepped into the shoes of Freddie Mercury during the 2018 musical biopic.
The divisive film itself may not be everyone's cup of tea, but the way Malek utterly immersed himself in Freddie's way of walking, talking, and commanding a stage during the iconic Live Aid sequence in particular was enough to guarantee his name would end up on the golden statue that year.
It also didn't hurt that he looked almost exactly like the Queen legend once he donned a vest and moustache either.
Hell, there's actually a few shots during that Wembley Stadium recreation that genuinely fool you into thinking a bit of the real Freddie footage has been sneakily dropped into the moments Malek is believably miming along with Radio Ga Ga or We Are The Champions.
This actor was simply born to play this music icon. And with a little help from some clip-on fake teeth (via IndieWire) Malek managed to consistently mesmerise audiences just like the great man himself did during his years of belting out many a rock classic.
