Heading back over to the musical world now and to that time Taron Egerton fully embraced the bizarre get-ups and rock and roll energy of the immortal Elton John in 2019's Rocketman.

Now sure, the leading man may not have sounded exactly like the "I'm Still Standing" legend when warbling his way through the star's many classic tunes - but who does?!

However, when it comes to the overall look of Egerton throughout the unique dive into John's life and history, the actor absolutely nailed it, shaving his hairline back for the part, and even managing to trick John into thinking he was looking at himself.

That's according to the film's hair and make-up designer Lizzie Yianni-Georgiou, who told Metro about a time Elton saw a photo of Egerton posing on a plane in full costume and make-up and declared, "I don’t remember taking this photo?!”

And while he was specifically instructed by the star he was playing not to try and copy his singing voice (via THR), Egerton was able to brilliantly recreate the feeling of an Elton John performance by learning a bit of piano and mastering the physicality that made those moments behind the instrument so iconic.
