Some may class this one as cheating somewhat, but that doesn't change the fact that watching O'Shea Jackson Jr. move, talk and spit bars just like his father throughout 2015's epic Straight Outta Compton picture was hugely impressive.

The fact Ice Cube is very much Jackson Jr.'s pops in real life certainly played a major part in the actor, you know, looking exactly like the character he was playing. However, this wasn't simply a case of being handed the role, rocking up to set, and effortlessly doing an authentic impression of his dad.

The young actor had to put in the work to believably dominate the screen as Ice Cube, with director F. Gary Gray putting him through a difficult two-year audition process, getting Jackson Jr. acting coaches for his first-ever big-screen role, and a trainer to help him lose 15 lbs in 24-days (via News.com) so he could convincingly play a 17-year-old version of Jackson Sr.

And after getting his acting career off to one hell of a start with a scene-stealing turn as the rapping legend, Ice Cube himself would note on Jimmy Kimmel Live (via Vibe) how his son was "spot-on" and "born to play the part."
