The Internet collectively gasped the first time a shot of Lily James in full Pamela Anderson mode in Hulu's Pam & Tommy series dropped online in 2021.

Without that eye-catching blonde hair, tan, and some prosthetic assistance, it's safe to say that very few would be quick to class the Cinderella star and Baywatch icon as two well-known figures who look alike.

But after six months of training her ass off and an epic four-hour transformation each day that actually only involved fitting her with two prosthetics - one being an "amazing" breast piece (via EW) - James utterly transformed into a double of the Playboy legend.

Not content with just looking exactly like this massively famous celebrity, though, James went to some pretty intense lengths to get Anderson's voice down for the show that takes a closer look at the period when she and husband Tommy Lee's sex tape first leaked online.

To really perfect Pam's distinctive raspy voice, James would sit back and watch a ton of interviews the star had been involved in, work with a dialect coach, and even ended up screaming into a cushion with co-star Sebastian Stan in order to force their own voices to become that bit more huskier.

And while Anderson herself has refused to watch the show that was made without consulting her, those who did were left stunned by just how much James resembled the superstar during a quite remarkable performance.
