8 More Movies With Seriously Insane Details You Didn't Notice

3. Shaun Of The Dead Is An Easter Egg Hunt Like No Other

PHANTOM MENACE Q Tips

We all know Shaun of the Dead is great, and unarguably full of pop culture references, but the detail that the team committed to is something to truly be in awe about. Referencing almost every important zombie movie EVER, as well as a couple of others for good luck, the whole film is an exercise in showing absolutely zero fanboy restraint.

Whether it’s nametags referencing American Werewolf in London director John Landis, practically invisible restaurant names inspired by horror maestro Lucio Fulci, or news announcements tying into Night of the Living Dead and 28 Days Later films with talk of broken satellites and virus outbreaks, there’s little that doesn’t have a subtle nod to the ever-sprawling horror genre behind it.

Perhaps best of all, even George A. Romero himself didn’t get a line directly influenced from his movie as it was so niche: "We’re coming to get you Barbara." Maybe there's the indication they went a little overboard.
