With fans demanding more diversity in superhero movies, it makes sense that Marvel would use Thor: Ragnarok to introduce some great female characters from this corner of their Cinematic Universe. It's during Thor and The Hulk's trip through the cosmos that they apparently come face to face with the Valkyries, one of whom will be a very familiar face to fans of the comic books. That is of course Valkyrie herself, an Asgardian goddess named Brunnhilde who is one of Asgards mightiest warriors and the leader of the Valkyrior. She's also one of Odins "choosers of the slain", and they deliver fallen warriors to Valhalla, the equivalent of Heaven to Thor's people. With that in mind, those reports about Hela mean this rumour makes a lot more sense, especially as her and the Valkyrie and natural enemies. There's been no mention of who might play the character, but Thor: Ragnarok seems like the perfect place to introduce Valkyrie, especially ahead of The Defenders and Avengers: Infinity War, two big team-up projects which the character could very easily fit into (the sight of her and her fellow Valkyrie's riding into battle to help The Avengers against Thanos would be nothing short of epic).
