Planet Hulk is a storyline which comic book fans have been hoping to see on the big screen for years now, but with the rights to The Hulk's solo franchise complicated by Marvel's past dealings with Universal, the Jade Giant getting a movie of his own remains unlikely. However, with Mark Ruffalo set to take on a leading role in Thor: Ragnarok, it appears as if the studio will finally adapt this beloved story arc in some form. When Hela banishes Thor, he ends up not on Midgard, but a gladiatorial planet where he must fight through the arena in order to escape and find the necessary MacGuffin to stop Loki and Hela from implementing their plan (who wants to bet it's something along the lines of creating Hell, sorry, Hel, on Earth?). However, when the God of Thunder comes face to face with arena's champion, he's reunited with The Hulk! Bruce Banner has apparently remained in his Hulk form ever since the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and as a result, his psyche has begun to merge with that of the Green Goliath's. As a result, he actually recognises Thor, and what follows is unclear, but we've been hearing for a while that Thor: Ragnarok is basically a cosmic road trip featuring these two, so chances are that they end up making their escape together.
