1. Why Does Doc Ock Try To Kill Peter When He Needs To Use Him For Information? - Spider-Man 2
The Plot Hole: When Sam Raimi decided to make a great movie for us all with cars flying through cafe windows almost crushing people, we, the public, had to get all analytical on him and spoil the fun. Anyway, the big problem here concerns a plot point which has bugged everyone in the world ever since somebody first pointed it out: why does villain Doc Ock try to kill Peter Parker by throwing a car at him through the window of a cafe when he specifically sought him out to gather information? It's madness, I tell you.
The "One Line" That Could've Solved It..."Whoops, I guess I got a little carried away there, Parker... almost squashed you like a bug." - Doc Ock Okay, I know what you're thinking: that line sounds dumb as hell when you hear it out of context. But now think about it again, imagine that Alfred Molina is saying it or something, and maybe you'll agree that this line would have alleviated this glaring plot hole in its entirety... the scene could have even been left in tact! Take it that Doc Ock simply misjudged his own strength when he hurled the car at Peter, and, hey, we get to keep the badass moment in the movie, and we've got a funny little gag about how Doc Ock almost squashed Peter like a bug ('cause he's Spider-Man, yeah?). Plus, "whoops" is a word you don't get to hear enough from villainous types.
