8 Movie Trailers That Contained The Final Shot Of The Film

Coming off the back of the X-cellent Days Of Future Past, the raw disappointment of 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse hit fans like a speeding bullet.

A shockingly cliched villain and generic world-destroying action held it back from greatness, but there were still some high points: James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender were typically brilliant as Professor X and Magneto, and Quicksilver once again stole the show with a thrilling slo-mo rescue scene.

We also finally got to see McAvoy in true Professor X bald-mode, with the film's final shot featuring the melon-head watching over the next generation of mutants as they started training against Sentinel robots.

This was the same image used to bookend Apocalypse's teaser trailer, which hit the web in December 2015 - months before the film's May 2016 debut.

We all knew that McAvoy would be going bald in the film so this was in no way a spoiler, but you could also argue that the marketing team should have kept the reveal of McAvoy's in-costume bald look for the film itself.
