8 Movie Villains Whose Punishments Were Far Too Severe
7. Frankenstein’s Monster (Frankenstein)
Poor old Frankenstein’s Monster. He didn't ask to be created, and he certainly didn't ask to be chained up in a basement and burned with torches shortly after.
There's was nothing down for a being stitched together from corpses, and after his start in life, can he be blamed for lashing out at people?
The monster's doomed life is one tragedy after another, epitomised by the moment when he accidentally kills the only person to show him a modicum of kindness, that unfortunate farmer's daughter.
Frankenstein himself, who caused this whole mess, appears to get off scot-free, while the monster is seemingly burned to death by an angry mob.
Of course, sequel The Bride of Frankenstein revealed that he survived the ordeal, but only so he could suffer further in a long-line of additional follow-up films.
