You’ve probably never heard of this white supremacist thriller because Lionsgate gave it a limited theatrical run in the US and sent it straight to VOD in most other territories.
It’s worth discovering for yourself, if only to see Daniel Radcliffe leave Harry Potter well and truly behind him as he plays a nerdy but ambitious FBI agent who gets an unlikely assignment – infiltrate a white supremacist group suspected of stealing caesium 137, a radioactive isotope.
Said assignment requires Radcliffe to shave his head in order to fit in with the kind of people who keep paintings of Jesus and Hitler in their homes, but if you’re expecting him to be badly miscast or out of his depth, think again. Like Michael J Fox in Casualties Of War, Radcliffe represents the Voice Of Reason, and when his clean-cut decency is contrasted with people who protest that diversity is code for white genocide, it makes for suspenseful viewing.
