7. Saoirse Ronan
There are three really important things you need to know about Saoirse Ronan. Saoirse is pronounced SUR-SHA, like in the word "inertia". You're welcome for that. You also need to know that she is an incredibly talented actress who caught everyone's attention back when she was just a kid playing Keira Knightley's younger sister in Atonement, and put in a stellar performance in last year's dreamy romantic drama Brooklyn. But a third thing that you should probably be aware of is that Saoirse is actually a pretty good singer. Remember Lost River, that movie Ryan Gosling made, that had all this buzz because it was Ryan's directorial and writing debut? The one that got awful reviews and distributor Warner Brothers tried to shuffle it off as quickly as possible, trying to pretend that it never happened? Well Saoirse was in it, and has actually a very lovely scene where she sits at her keyboard and sings a melancholy little song. She leads a lonely life, living with just her grandmother and pet rat, and this song about her hoping that one day she'll find someone who loves her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UifiE-2Vmg
