Digital props are props too, even if they don't require costly things like storage, maintenance, and so on.

In George Lucas' Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, you might remember that antagonist Count Dooku (Christopher Lee) rocks a rather distinctive-looking solar sailer, a yacht which he used to flee the Battle of Geonosis.

But the design was originally created for Episode I - The Phantom Menace, as a potential ship which Queen Amidala (Natalie Portman) would use for transport.

George Lucas reportedly nixed the design but agreed for it to be recycled on the sequel for Dooku, and the rest is history.

Thankfully where digital assets are concerned it's far easier to switch things up at short notice without incurring quite the same cost to both time and money.
