8 Props That Were Originally Designed For Other Movies

2. Lamia's Knife Was Originally Meant For Magneto In X-Men: The Last Stand - Stardust

Matthew Vaughn's 2007 fantasy adventure classic Stardust boasts a show-stealing turn from Michelle Pfeiffer as the delightfully evil witch Lamia, who among other things touts a glass knife shaped to resemble a scimitar.

Vaughn had actually designed the prop himself, however, for X-Men: The Last Stand, which he was originally lined up to direct before dropping out a mere two weeks before shooting was set to begin.

The knife would've been used by Magneto (Ian McKellen) in some capacity, though when Brett Ratner was brought in to replace Vaughn, the stylish weapon wasn't used for whatever reason.

It isn't easy to imagine McKellen wielding the blade, honestly, so perhaps this was all for the best.
