8 Reasons Batman V Superman Will Top Captain America: Civil War
5. It Will Feature More Significant Cameos
Spider-Man making a cameo appearance in Captain America: Civil War is definitely a big deal. Everyone else? Not so much. It will definitely be cool to see Ant-Man hanging out with The Avengers of course, but Spidey is really the only major one, and it's hard to get too excited about that at this point.
That's because Sony still own the rights to the character, and while he's set to appear throughout Phase 3, who knows what kind of restrictions Marvel will face in regards to how much he can be used. Kevin Feige being in creative control is amazing news of course, but Sony - who completely dropped the ball with The Amazing Spider-Man movies - having final say is a little less spectacular.
Warner Bros. don't need to fret about that kind of thing, and Justice League members like Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash all making cameo appearances is what that "Dawn of Justice" subtitle is all about. Batman V Superman marks the beginning of the Justice League, and each of these cameos is going to set up both that movie and their respective solo outings.
Spider-Man is in Civil War to boost box office takings and to try and save his franchise. The Justice League members being present in Batman V Superman on the other hand are all building to something far more important.
