And finally, the movie is so indebted to current pop-culture, the trends of the superhero movie and social media that it's probably not going to be as fun to watch in, say, 10 or 15 years. Don't we all love how well Batman Begins has aged over a decade later? Don't expect the same from Deadpool, which is hysterically up-to-date right now, but it's hard not to feel like the Twitter references, jabs at X-Men Origins: Wolverine and general satire of the movie industry might not feel quite so current in the future. Compare this to something like 22 Jump Street, which rips Hollywood to shreds but does a fairly decent job of keeping the satire more broad and general, so it'll probably retain a solid level of relatability down the line. For the time being, of course, Deadpool is hilarious, so best to soak it in while it's all relevant! Have you seen Deadpool yet? What did you think? Shout it out in the comments!
