4. The Meta Jokes Are Amazing

It's Deadpool, so of course, there's going to be a metric ton of meta humour to feast on, and the film certainly doesn't disappoint in that regard. Whether it's laughing at the absurdity of this movie even existing, mocking Ryan Reynolds' previous forays into superhero fare, subverting superhero movie tropes or taking friendly jabs at the likes of Marvel Studios, Fox and Hugh Jackman, it's a film made by comic book movie fans for comic book movie fans. Still, again, this is subdued enough that it doesn't overpower the film nor make it inaccessible for the more casual viewer. They're just a delightful bonus and add a unique dimension to the film that separates it from, well, everything else.
