8 Reasons Splitting Batman V Superman In Two Would Ruin The Movie
8. It's Further Proof They're Making It Up As They Go
Since conception Batman V Superman has been a hard pill to swallow. It's ostensibly a sequel to the loud-yet-underwhelming Man Of Steel, with the Dark Knight only thrown in to try and improve on that movie's lacklustre box office. But as the already monumental shift of bringing in Batman became the norm, Warner began mixing in more and more ingredients to try and boost the movie's chances, ignoring that the Caped Crusader had already done that and then some. All those Kahina and Wayne murder rumours suggested a studio throwing whatever they could at the wall in the hope it'd stick, and this two-parter reveal is no different. Sure, it could have been planned all along, but the lack of official confirmation suggests a trepidation around the idea. Is it borne less out of creative impetus and more out of hunting a bigger box office taking? Probably. If Marvel can make a freaking Guardians Of The Galaxy with all the swagger that they did last year, why can't DC just take these heroes and deliver on an idea with confidence?
