8 Reasons Splitting Batman V Superman In Two Would Ruin The Movie

7. Another Batman Set-Up Isn't Needed

The October Part 1 of Batman V Superman would be subtitled Enter The Knight, suggesting that the purpose of that movie would be to introduce the world to Ben Affleck's take on Bruce Wayne. And while the new Batman will need some set-up, a whole movie isn't necessarily. For the past two decades some of the most high profile blockbusters have been Batman flicks, so audiences really don't need time to get aquatinted to him again. Everyone knows the broad strokes of Bruce Wayne's story and seeing it repeated, in part or in whole, is totally unnecessary. Having an entire movie to build up to a fight between two of the most iconic characters in fiction is grossly underestimating their iconography - you could open with the pair fighting and no one would struggle to keep up.
