8 Reasons Why Tom Hardy Will Be The Biggest Actor Of 2015
8. Mad Max: Fury Road Is Going To Be Huge
Until recently, it seemed like George Miller's long-awaited Mad Max sequel, Fury Road, could turn out to be something of a flop. Though he'd been preparing for it even longer, Miller began filming the thing back in 2012, with delays, reshoots and a long editing process keeping the film away from screens three whole years after production first began. But with the release of some awe-inspiring trailers, and positive word of mouth coming out of test screenings, it began to seem like Fury Road wasn't going to be a bomb after all; it actually seemed like it could be a giant hit. Now anticipation is high and a premiere at Cannes next month is on the cards; it looks like Mad Max: Fury Road is going to be - commercially, at the least - huge. For its leading man - Hardy, playing the titular antihero - it could prove to be the biggest hit of his career so far, turning him from a favourite of film buffs into a legitimate fave of the popcorn crowd too. And, of course, if Fury Road makes as big a wave as pundits predict, it'll only be the beginning of his new role as a franchise star.
