8 Recent Box Office Bombs That Could Still Get Sequels

5. Men In Black: International

Star Wars Solo
Sony

Budget: $110 million

Box Office: $247,292,763 (and counting)

Only making 2.25x its budget back, and being unlikely to make a lot more, officially categorizes Men In Black: International as a box office bomb, and when this disappointment is combined with poor audience and critic reception there appears to be no hope for a sequel, however, that may not be the case.

Whilst reviews were poor leading stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson were widely praised for their performances which would surely continue into a sequel. Many negative reactions to the film focused on the poor plot and Sony have recognised the plot as the main reason for the film's failure.

This suggests that Men in Black: International 2 may have the same actors just with an improved story to increase the chances of the sequel being profitable. The continued popularity of these two actors due to Disney Marvel Cinematic Universe could also assist in giving a boost to a Men in Black: International 2.

Elliot Pedley hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
