8 Ridiculous Castings For Upcoming Movies That Prove Hollywood Has Gone Insane

8. Jai Courtney - Kyle Reese - Terminator: Genesis

Yawn. So here's another casting decision that proves that Hollywood literally has no idea which actors are actually popular with people who watch movies. Jai Courtney? Surely we can do better than that as a replacement for Michael Biehn? Jai Courtney is like a not self-aware Channing Tatum - sort of like Channing Tatum before he became a little more "switched on." Which is another way of saying: the Kyle Reese we're going to get in this movie is going to be totally forgettable and really boring... just like all other Jai Courtney characters we've seen so far. The other problem with this casting decision is that Terminator: Genesis has also enlisted Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke as the new Sarah Connor. Sure, Clarke is beautiful and lovely and is great as Daenerys Targaryen, but she's also kind of blandy, too. Admit it. She is. Couple Courtney and Clarke together with the fact that Alan Taylor - who directed Thor: The Dark World on autopilot - is helming the reboot, and we're potentially looking at the most personality-lacking, let's appeal-to-the-mass Terminator movie ever made. There's just no attitude on show here at all.
