8 Ridiculous Castings For Upcoming Movies That Prove Hollywood Has Gone Insane
7. Megan Fox - April O'Neil - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
It's arguable that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' loveable reporter, April O'Neil, isn't a character whose casting is worth getting all that worked up about, but you know what? It sort of is... especially when you've gone for Megan Fox in an upcoming 2014 remake. Megan Fox isn't the best actress in the world (something that hardly anybody alive isn't aware of), and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles probably isn't going to be the best movie regardless... but couldn't Hollywood have gone with somebody who was both attractive and capable of leading a cast of CG heroes? That's to say, Megan Fox is kind of poised front and centre in this adaptation, given that most of the other characters are going to be mostly rendered with CGI. That puts a lot of weight on her shoulders. Of course, the obvious reason for her getting cast her is that she's bound to bring drooling teenage boys into the theatre (physically, she just looks like "Megan Fox" in the images we've seen so far, and not at all like the April we all know and love). Even creator Kevin Laird has said there were far better actresses out there to play this character. And that's the CREATOR.
