8 Ridiculously Awesome Movie Crossovers (That Could Actually Happen)

8. Spider-Man In The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Let's kick off with what's both the most likely and legally fraught potential crossover. Whereas in the comics Spider-Man and the X-Men can pop by and lend The Avengers a hand whenever they feel like, on film there's a web of copyrights that make it impossible. Heck, the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe is built around The Avengers purely because the comic company had sold off the rights to its better known A-List names in the late-nineties, with clauses that mean as long as new films are produced they'll never get them back. Since they started making their own films with the leftovers in 2008, however, Iron Man, Captain America et al have become the biggest heroes on the planet and Spider-Man has been ran into the ground thanks to a dire reboot. This has all culminated with Sony Pictures considering renting out Peter Parker to appear in later Marvel movies, with recent rumours stating he's set to premier in Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1. Sure, the majority of audiences are a bit fatigued by Spidey's antics, but a Feige-approved take on the web-crawler should be able to win them round. Besides, there's no world where having more iconic heroes in the MCU is a bad thing.
