8 Scenes We Definitely Won't See In James Wan's Aquaman

5. Arthur Curry's Bonus Superpowers

Many fans believe Aquaman's powers are somewhat limited and would like it if he had more, but those people should be careful what they wish for, since it wasn't exactly memorable when he did gain new abilities during the Silver Age.

In issue #14 of 1964's Aquaman vol.1, Arthur Curry and his sidekick Aqualad rescued a mysterious bearded hermit, who was floating on a storm-battered raft in the middle of the ocean. His way of thanking the duo was gifting them with a magic powder.

The was very much a PG-13-rated magic powder that granted the user shape-shifting powers for a limited time. Aquaman uses it to stretch out his legs so they're miles long, turning him into a bad Reed Richards parody of sorts, and later to inflate his body like a balloon to carry a stricken ship back to the shore.

His final transformation sees him become a stone giant, hundreds of feet tall, and by now it should be painstakingly obvious why nothing from this bonkers Silver Age storyline is going to wind up in the Jason Momoa film.
