A couple of years ago, University professor Stephen Kane published a paper called €œA Necro-Biological Explanation for the Fermi Paradox,€ which is basically a fancy way of saying, "Bruh, what if the aliens were actually zombies?"

The Fermi Paradox is basically an observation that, given the sheer amount of stars and planets in the universe, the probability of intelligent life arising is very high, and yet we seem to be alone.

Kane's answer to the Fermi Paradox is that any civilisation that has been around long enough to develop an advanced society has also had ample opportunity to develop pandemic level pathogens - just like we have. One of these pathogens could be a zombie virus.

By modifying the Drake Equation - an equation used to predict the number of intelligent civilisation in the galaxy, Kane comes to the conclusion that there could be over 2,500 zombie planet within 100 parsecs (326 light years) of the Earth.

Somebody write a screenplay, stat.
