Once the protagonists manage to vanquish the big bad by exploding it into countless chunks, we get our big happy ending and the credits roll...but wait, there's more. Some viewers might have been left wondering what was going to happen to all of the monster detritus scattered all over the town, something this post-credit scene makes pains to answer. We see a cat walk over to a hunk of monster flesh and lick it, at which point the screen cuts to black and we can hear the cat be attacked, presumably killed. It leaves the door open for part two, and though it's perhaps not a sequel that legions of people are crying out for - the film went over well with critics but failed to make its budget back - I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't watch it.
