8 Shocking Plot Twists Cut From Movies

The Wrath Of Khan features some hardcore wrathing from main man Khan, who is seriously ticked off with the Enterprise crew after they stranded him and his people on a hostile planet for fifteen years. A lot of Khan’s superhuman followers – including his wife – died on this world, so when he comes back into contact with Kirk he’s not best pleased.

One thing even fans of Star Trek may not realise is that Khan was supposed to have a baby son, who is first seen when Chekov is looking for signs of life on the planet. The baby is then seen at the end when Khan knows he’s lost, and activates the Genesis Device with the hope of taking The Enterprise with him.

He does this without considering the life of his young child, who is attracted to the bright lights of the device and is blown up when it activates. The image of a toddler being exploded was a line too far, so this subplot was removed from the final edit.
