8 Signs Not Even The Filmmakers Have Faith In Batman V Superman

1. The Title

Batman V Superman is one of the most perfect titles in the history of blockbuster cinema. It's short, it's snappy, it's memorable, it summarises the plot and it doubles as the movie's tagline. It's simplistically genius. And yet for some reason Warner Bros. just don't have enough faith in its ability to get an audience in that they've stuck the obnoxious subtitle Dawn Of Justice on the end in a vain attempt to point towards the ideal future of the franchise without considering the repercussions. Are we going to get multiple Batman V Supermans that will need to be distinguished by title? Are Warners just desperate to justify the inclusion of Wonder Woman? Do they think anyone's actually going to call it by that name? Not only does this appear desperate, but it's also misguided. Dawn Of Justice assumes that there is an audience hunger to see the Justice League on the big screen, which there most certainly isn't. The whole thing is emblematic about the try anything attitude being employed here and, despite its rudimentary nature, is the main reason to be iffy about where D.C. are taking their heroes. What are your expectations for Batman V Superman? Do you think Warner Bros. can still turn it around? Let us know in the comments below.
