8 Sneaky Ways A Movie Got Greenlit

6. Teddy Bear Came From A DeviantArt Image

There have been movies based around some flimsy ideas before, but Teddy Bear takes things to a whole new level. The potential franchise was put into development based upon a single image found on DeviantArt titled "Sweet Halloween Dreams", which shows a Teddy Bear protecting a sleeping girl by fighting off a huge monster. The artist - software engineer Alex Panagopoulos - is probably more shocked than anyone, as the image came with the accompanying note €œanother fast and stupid one...I don€™t have time do anything better...€ So he probably wasn't expecting The Rock to sign up fora film version of it. And while people might roll their eyes at the concept, if it features a tiny Dwayne Johnson - dressed as a Teddy Bear - punching demons in the face, then it will justify the movie existing. Plans for the movie have gone quiet since it was announced - The Rock is busy staring in every film ever - but if it doesn€™t end up happening maybe Seth MacFarlane could use the idea for Ted 3.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
