8 Terrible Performances That Almost Ruined Recent Movie Scenes

6. Peter Dinklage - Avengers: Infinity War

For a time, Peter Dinklage was one of the hottest actors on the planet. His career-defining role as Tyrion in Game of Thrones made him a household name, and also racked him up plenty of Emmys across the show's eight seasons.

Sadly though, like so many actors allowed to flex on the small screen, his big screen roles haven't been quite as well received. While few are outright bad, his appearance in Avengers: Infinity War was a huge disappointment.

Playing Eitri, the powerful being who forged both the infinity gauntlet and Thor's new weapon, Stormbreaker, he's only in the movie for a few scenes, and sadly he doesn't make the best impression. Now, granted, it's not like it's the best material in the MCU he has to work with, as Thor's trip for his new weapon was viewed as a bit of a lull in the otherwise pristine narrative, but he still comes across a little miscast.

The deep, bellowing voice feels forced and out of place, while even the comedic beats come across wooden and flat. Dinklage is so much better than he is here, and stands out more thanks to the rest of the movie being so good, and the other actors fully embodying their roles.
