8 Things Marvel Could Do After Phase 3

4. Amalgamate!

Howard The Duck Phase Four
Amalgam Comics

During comicbookdom's Dark Age, otherwise known as the 90s, Marvel and DC Comics attempted a marketing coup by simply combining all of their properties into kitsch-y mash-ups - known as Amalgam Comics, mash-ups included such genius marketing decisions as Captain America and Superman becoming Super Patriot, whilst Wolverine and Batman became Darkclaw. Spider-Man and Superboy were fused to become Spider-Boy.

It was an experiment that did not last long.

With that in mind, should Marvel and the Distinguished Competition over at Warner Bros come up snake eyes with their respective efforts, there's always this option for the big screen. Give Henry Cavill a blonde dyejob and an actual 'S' shield to hold, and boom.

Just wait for some executive to think the ability to combine The Joker AND Sabretooth is a good idea and you will feel a great disturbance in the force; as if a million nerd voices cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced.

You can hear the money going down the drain from here...
