8 Things The DCEU Is Doing Better Than The MCU (So Far)

With the DCEU, whenever a new instalment is announced, we never know quite what we're getting.

All eight DCEU films so far have been rather different from each other and that's a truly great thing, since it means this cinematic universe hasn't become repetitive at all and isn't likely to the way things are going. Shazam! and Birds of Prey, meanwhile, were rather unlike any other superhero movies we've received in recent times.

The MCU has done a great job overall and most of the films in its line-up are good or above in terms of quality, but they usually feel like they're following the same formula and have a similar vibe to them.

Sure, Guardians of the Galaxy felt like a major departure from the MCU style, but then many of the MCU films since have copied GOTG's tone, so variety still isn't exactly an MCU strength.

Still, some of the Phase 4 films sound more diverse, so that's a step in the right direction.
