8 Things The DCEU Is Doing Better Than The MCU (So Far)

5. Music

In terms of music, the DCEU has generally been pretty awesome. Sure, Suicide Squad over-used pop music in a very jarring manner and that Pitbull cover of Toto's 'Africa' that featured in Aquaman was questionable to put it mildly, but other than that it's been smooth sailing in this department.

Hans Zimmer provided a fantastic musical score for Man of Steel and he did strong work once again for Batman Vs. Superman.

Rupert Gregson-Williams has also provided two excellent musical scores for Wonder Woman and Aquaman in particular, while Danny Elfman's soundtrack for Justice League was very good too. If you listen closely to that one, there are times when he's evidently calling back to his iconic Batman score.

Shazam! and Birds of Prey also had strong soundtracks that reflected their stories and characters well, and Birds of Prey used pop music in a far, far better way than Suicide Squad did.
