8 Things You Could Probably Expect From Quentin Tarantino's Sci-Fi Movie

7. Based On Invasion Of The Body Snatchers?

While we could speculate all day about the kind of science fiction film Tarantino would make, and the endless plots that those films could follow, the director did give us a bit of a hint. He specifically cited the seminal 1956 classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers as a movie he'd love to "put a spin on:"
"A series that I would like to put a spin on is the 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers.' I want to take it from the pod people's perspective, so you're actually rooting for the pod people. I don't think they're so bad."
Tarantino is known to have taken past films and used them as the basis for his own. Django Unchained is loosely based on Sergio Corbucci's 1966 Western Django, while Inglourious Basterds is a loose homage to the eponymous 1978 Italian war film. It wouldn't be too surprising if Tarantino took Invasion of the Body Snatchers, which features a small-town doctor who learns that the population of his community have been replaced by emotionless alien duplicates, and uses it as the basis for his own crazy Tarantino-ized version.
