8 Things You Need To Know About The Leaked Deadpool Test Footage

2. It Doesn't Mean A Deadpool Movie Is Coming Anytime Soon...

After the footage leaked the first question on the minds of fans was "when is the Deadpool movie coming out?" It wasn't until Liefeld started tweeting about the footage to confirm its authenticity that he revealed the bad news: this isn't some kind of early viral trailer. In fact, it's more accurate to say that this test reel was a dead end rather an early glimpse because Fox hasn't made any major moves forward on a Deadpool movie in the three years since this test footage was shot. When it was produced this footage wasn€™t meant to be seen by the public, and Fox is likely being very strict about having it removed from video sites because of that (and also because Fox probably didn€™t get the rights to use the two songs in the clip, Gwen Stefani€™s Hollaback Girl and Juice Newton€™s Angel of the Morning, since it was only meant to be seen in-house). Liefeld and others have been sure to note that while it's great that fans are enjoying the Deadpool test footage, this is as far as the Deadpool movie has gotten. In other words, don't start planning to line up in front of theatres for tickets yet.
