The test footage ends with Deadpool breaking the fourth wall (as he regularly does in comics) by waving to the audience and saying, "Hi, Tom!" If your name happens to be Tom you might have thought that this was an incredible display of Deadpool's reality-crossing abilities. However, this quip was likely aimed at a specific Tom who was sure to have watched the footage. It has been speculated that the Tom that Deadpool is referring to is Tom Rothman, who was Chief Executive Officer of Fox Filmed Entertainment until September 2012. Rothman would ultimately have had the final say on whether or not Fox would move ahead on making a Deadpool movie based on this footage. Obviously he passed at the time, but there€™s no word yet if current CEO Jim Gianopulos has a better sense of humor.
