Though Mark Ruffalo was not the original Bruce Banner in the MCU, since taking the mantle from Ed Norton for Avengers Assemble and beyond he has become one of the most popular actors in the franchise. And not just because of his notorious ability to drop spoilers at every opportunity. He has appeared in six MCU movies, including a cameo post-credit scene in Iron Man 3, the same film in which Ben Kingsley appeared as Trevor Slattery.

Slattery, the man paid by Aldrich Killian to portray The Mandarin in propaganda videos, was one of the most divisive characters in the entire MCU, though Kingsley does an excellent job in the role. Believable as both the radical mass murderer, and the junkie actor, there are few that could have tackled the role like Kinglsey did.

Both Mark Ruffalo and Ben Kingsley starred in Shutter Island in 2010 as Dr Sheehan and Dr Cawley respectively, before either ever debuted in the MCU, working together to try and save the mind of Leonardo DiCaprio's Teddy Daniels. Ruffalo's roles are oddly similar, as for both roles he plays two parts of one character (Banner and Hulk, and Dr Sheehan and Chuck), whereas Kingsley's roles couldn't be further apart.
