5. Winston Duke And Lupita Nyong'o - Us

Both Winston Duke and Lupita Nyong'o have appeared together in two of the most popular and critically acclaimed movies of recent years. In 2018 it was Ryan Coogler's Black Panther, and one year later it was Jordan Peele's follow up to his debut Get Out, Us.

Black Panther saw Nyong'o portray T'Challa's love interest Nakia, while Duke played the king's initial rival for the throne and leader of the Jabari tribe, M'Baku. The two have relatively little time on screen together, aside from when the former begs the latter for help once Killmonger has taken the throne. This is completely different in Us.

Duke and Nyong'o play husband and wife Adelaide and Gabe Wilson, parents of two children on holiday in their summer home. They also play the tethered versions of themselves, Abraham and Red. While Winston Duke is brilliant in this role, it is Lupita Nyong'o who steals the show, demonstrating just how far her talents stretch while bringing Red, a woman from the underworld, to life.

When watching Us, it is hard to believe that Adelaide and Red are played by the same woman, such is the difference between the roles, and the distance Lupita Nyong'o's talents stretch.
