To be fair, there needs to be questions asked of any studio, production company, or distribution house that backs the career of filmmaker Victor Salva, period, not just his Jeepers Creepers movies.

That Salva is still able to make films is absolutely shocking, and those not aware of why are likely going to be aghast.

1988 saw Salva charged with sexual misconduct towards a 12-year-old boy who appeared in his Clownhouse picture. Pleading guilty to some truly hideous things, Salva was sentenced to three years in prison.

That was 1988, yet here we are over 30 years later and there are studios still prepared to hire Victor Salva to make movies. And for those taking the approach that Salva had served his time - of which he served just 15 months of his three-year sentence - the original cut of 2017's Jeepers Creepers 3 featured jokes about child sex abuse and a plot point centred on a father wanting to molest his daughter.

Then again, this is a person who was grinning on his 1988 mugshot, with no remorse ever shown by this disgrace of a human being.

Worryingly, there are currently tentative plans for a Jeepers Creepers 4 - as again studios and distribution houses continue to back Victor Salva.
