8 Totally Bizarre Characters For Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

5. Ego The Living Planet

If anyone has a name that perfectly summed up who they are and what they€™re about, it€™s Ego the living planet. Basically, right, he€™s a planet with an ego. A globe with a face and a bit of a superiority complex. A rock with an attitude. You get the picture. Purportedly born when a scientist merged with a planet as its sun went nova (as you do), Ego is supremely intelligent and able to shift its appearance on a molecular level, most notably giving itself a face. As a life form, Ego is also prone to monumental tantrums, often lashing out and trying to destroy other, thicker planets when slighted. Ego is a fascinating character that hasn€™t received as much love in the MU as his galactic counterparts the Skrulls, Kree and Galactus, but with Galactus wallowing at Fox as part of the Fantastic Four stable it could be Ego€™s time to shine. If nothing else the image of a giant planet morphing into a humanoid face could be a terrific visual, but a sympathetic sentient planet could make an even better protagonist
